What should be done before and after signing the tenancy agreement if the tenant is not a Chinese citizen?

•  Before Signing the Tenancy Agreement

Both of the two parties should go to the Overseas Project Examination Office of Beijing Municipal Security Bureau (Beijing Shi Anquanju Shewai Xiangmu Shencha Bangongshi) for recording. The tenant should bring the original copy of his/her passport, while the owner should bring the title certificate together with his/her identity certificate.

•  After Signing the Tenancy Agreement

Both of the two parties should go to Beijing Construction Committee for the recording of the agreement within 30 days after they have signed the agreement.
